This page governs the use of the SIDIA UNESA mobile application. By using this app, you agree to the following policy and terms.
SIDIA UNESA respects your privacy. We do not sell your personal data. The application collects and processes data (such as Name, Student ID/NIM, GPA, and Study Plan) strictly to support academic activities at Universitas Negeri Surabaya.
To function correctly, the application requires specific permissions. Here is why we need them:
Purpose: Server connection.
Usage: To retrieve real-time data such as study results (KHS), schedules, and notifications.
Purpose: Location verification for attendance.
Usage: Used strictly for the "Digital Attendance" (Presensi) feature. We collect your coordinates only when you tap the "Check-In" button to verify you are within the campus radius. We do not track your location in the background or when the app is closed.
Purpose: File management.
Usage: To allow you to upload profile pictures, submit assignment documents (PDF/Doc), and save academic transcripts to your device.
Academic Records: As an educational institution, Universitas Negeri Surabaya is required by law to retain academic records (transcripts, attendance history, and student data) permanently or for a specific period as mandated by the Ministry of Education. Therefore, these data cannot be deleted upon request via the app.
Account Deactivation: Students or staff who have graduated or resigned may contact the university administration (BAKPK) to deactivate their access, but historical academic data will be preserved for archival and legal purposes.
All data transmitted between the application and our servers is encrypted using standard security protocols (HTTPS/SSL). Access to data is restricted to authorized university personnel only.
By using the app, you agree to these terms. You are not allowed to copy or modify the app, any part of the app, or our trademarks in any way.
Access is restricted to registered students and staff of UNESA via Single Sign-On (SSO). You are responsible for keeping your credentials confidential. Any activity performed under your account is your responsibility.
You agree to use the application strictly for academic purposes. Misuse, including attempting to falsify attendance data (GPS spoofing) or uploading malicious content, constitutes a violation of the university's code of conduct and may result in academic sanctions.
The app is provided "as is". While we strive for accuracy, UNESA is not liable for any errors in the displayed data (e.g., schedule changes not yet synced). Official data should always be verified with the academic bureau if discrepancies occur.
We may update our Terms and Conditions from time to time. Continued use of the application after changes implies acceptance of the new terms.
